1 Bath Vale Cottages is a wonderfully positioned end of row Georgian cottage having been sympathetically extended and lovingly renovated throughout – you will just love it!
A distinguished residence, with professionally landscaped gardens, enjoying an elevated position with views over surrounding woodland, ample driveway and additional off road parking found a little further up the lane.
With accommodation formed over FOUR floors this individual and striking home provides such versatile living to suit a growing family or equally those looking to downsize and wishing to retain a property of character.
The main entrance delivers you to the reception hall with high ceilings, deep skirtings and a truly magnificent shallow rise staircase leading to the first floor galleried landing. The main front reception room with sash windows makes for a lovely natural light filled space, complete with an imposing original open coal fireplace. On the opposite side of the hallway is the second reception room, ideal as a childrens playroom or, as currently used as the family's dining room, with a separate cloakroom/utility serving this floor. Adjacent is the kitchen, being modern and well equipped with feature glazed ceiling.
The cellar is an interesting and useful space, split into a small office area with the main room currently used as a chill out snug or more commonly known as a “man cave”
The first floor galleried landing with staircase to the second floor, (let us not forget the accommodation being laid over numerous floors), leads to the master bedroom with lofty ceiling and sash windows and surprisingly features a modern ensuite shower room off. Bedroom two, to the front is also a well proportioned double bedroom with feature fireplace and sash window. Completing this floor is the family bathroom with a crisp white three piece suite, which includes the impressive roll top bath.
The top floor being particularly fun, is sat within the gabled roof area and provides the third bedroom.
Outside as befits a property of distinction, is a covered terrace ideal for sheltered alfresco entertaining. Impressive Indian stone laid areas which form also as the private driveway. Steps then lead up to the landscaped gardens which feature artificial lawns and elevated seating areas, all of which enjoys a pleasant woodland aspect
A place in the country, located in the heart of Cheshire within the stunningly picturesque semi rural locality of Bath Vale. The twisting country lanes are interesting to explore and offer enjoyable walks and are suitable for horse riding, as is the well known walking route of the ‘Gritstone Trail’ nearby and the Biddulph Valley Way bridle path. Further beautiful walks are found on its doorstep with Bosley Cloud, a prominent hill owned by the National Trust, popular with ramblers and local folk who, once at its pinnacle, enjoy the breathtaking, far reaching views over adjoining counties.
Practically the towns of Macclesfield and Congleton are within 9 miles and 1 miles respectively, with Manchester Airport some 15 miles away offering flights to worldwide destinations.
